Multi-class racing especially the IMSA series is extremely popular on iRacing with full grids across multiple splits and tends to provide the best blend of challenge and enjoyment. However, there are other, slightly less popular but arguably more interesting multi-class series on iRacing that we think you may also enjoy. iRacing recently introduced Proto/GT Challenge that's similar to the IMSA Series but also different enough that we think makes it an excellent alternative.
The Cars
The Proto-GT Challenge comprises three classes of vehicles that are made up of one prototype and two GT categories. This a good blend of both prototype and GT cars with sufficient performance differences between the categories to make for exciting racing. You will need at least a Class C license to participate in this series but you'll find drivers from much higher licence classes competing.
