This year's F1 game from EA is named F1 22 and is going to be released on 1 July 2022 with the Champions edition being released on 28 July 2022. What's interesting for us about this year's release isn't the F1 22 game itself but the all-new F1 2022 Manager game.
Don't get us wrong, F1 22 will have the usual track, car and physics updates along with what we consider its biggest new feature: support for Virtual Reality (VR).
Nevertheless, we're really intrigued by the prospect of a game that allows us to manage an F1 team down to minute detail. From what we've seen from the latest gameplay trailer, this game will not only feature all of the official tracks, cars, drivers etc of the 2022 F1 season but also include amazing graphics of the cars actually racing as well as what sounds like the real voices of the drivers over the radio comms to the pits. This small feature should really make the game amazingly immersive.
F1 2022 Manager features
Besides what looks like amazing graphics, sound, detailed tracks, engineering aspects etc, the following main features are expected to be the core aspects of the game:
- Multi-season career mode
- Headquarters: monitor drivers, personnel, finances etc
- Factory: Build and devlop your cars
- Race: Plan race strategies in advance and also on the fly
F1 Manager 2022 is expected to be released on 25 August 2022. Both games will be available on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Stay tuned for our reviews of both games.
