Moza announced several new pieces of hardware this week including two new pedal sets, a side stick for flight simulators, steering wheel stalks for truck simulators and the new MOZA Porsche Mission R Steering Wheel.
Features
The wheel is built using official CAD data from Porsche and features an aluminium frame with aluminium shifters and a dual-clutch system. It has a customisable 5.4" OLED display wrapped in curved tempered glass powered by a quad-core processor.
The wheel can be used on all existing Moza wheelbases but can be adapted for use on third-party wheelbases using Moza's universal hub kit.
Conclusion
We don't have pricing or shipping information for the new Moza Mission R steering wheel but based on its specifications, we're assuming that it will have a high-end price probably more than the $749 that Moza is charging for the Vision GS wheel.
This wheel isn't aimed at most sim racers, but we think it's essentially a tech demo from Moza and will only appeal to serious sim racing enthusiasts who wish to add this wheel to their collection. We also think that some of the technology found in this wheel, like the customisable dash will find its way to upcoming wheels like the FSR2 and stand-alone displays.
We like this new wheel simply because it showcases what Moza is capable of and gives us a glimpse of what will be expected in future, more mainstream Moza products.
