iRacing is a highly accurate racing simulator and simulates the physics of racing cars as close to reality as possible. This accuracy also means that setting up a car in iRacing is similar to setting up a real race car. Since the majority of us are not race engineers but would still like to race at a competitive pace, pre-made car setups can be very helpful.
In recent years, several websites have popped up that provide not only car setups for iRacing but several other services that can help you become a better and faster sim racing driver. This article is a brief overview of some of the best sites to find car setups and services for iRacing.
Coach Dave Academy
Coach Dave Academy is the newest of the websites listed here but is already very popular. They provide the following setups and services for iRacing:
- Paid setups
- Driver coaching
- Telemetry data
- YouTube onboard laps
- Best lap replay files
- Data packs for fixed setup series
Coach Dave Academy has a relatively small range of setups for iRacing but is expanding their range quite quickly. There are currently no setups for oval or dirt racing but their setups cover all the GT-type cars with open-wheelers and prototypes being recently added.
